this october na pala ang start ng shooting ng show nina Gel at Robin..Asian Treasures nga..how exciting right..well..this is more of an action so new thing on our GMA telebabad..the story will be shot on three countries one is Philippines..sabi..iikot muna daw ang cast sa Pilipinas bago pumunta sa ibang bansa..as of the cast..wala pa namang nasasabi..watch out nyo nalang..

ano ba yan..hanggang ngayon wala paring BAKEKANG dito sa Pinoy TV..my god..tatapusin pa ata ang ILUVNY..which is probably on 3 weeks..tagal noh..errr..

u see that there is no kapamilya on this one, other than Julia Clarete and Gladys Reyes who among played a villain on the other side of the fence now being another villain here in Bakekang, but now they are faithful kapuso's. i am very happy about the cast. a job well done. a sure hit for me. a surprise that Jaya is one of the cast. i never saw her act before. Lovi Poe as Kristal, im not too impress. I was expecting Yas or Nads to play the role. But we'll see how she will take the role. Iwa Motto is a perfect maldita here. despite all the controversies about her, i cant stop but liking her more. Sheryl Cruz rocks, she deserves to be on the cast. Cogie is back with a show after his Kung Mawawala ka stint and guestings on some other shows. Jay Manalo who was last seen acting at ABS. Yasmien Kurdi, Nads and Marky Cielo who were all from Encantadia, Nadz being on Etheria and Marky on Encantadia: Pag Ibig Hanggang Wakas. I also just found out that this will be Julia and Gladys's first primetime drama for GMA. i am also happy that Ara was given a new drama, aswell as Manilyn and Raymart.

for GMA PINOY TV subscribers, there is no date yet if the show will be airing the same time. But once i found out, i will inform all of you right away.=)

Sorry, sa aming insistence na dapat the whole list of Pinoy winners sa World Championships of Performing Arts (WCOPA) ang ibinalita ng network na nagbalita tungkol sa winners nila.
Dahil naniniwala kami na ang magbalita ng totoo ay magbabalita nang buo at kumpleto. At kahit hindi sa inyo, dapat ibalita.
Nakatanggap tuloy kami ng feedback: Bakit daw maingay ang pagkapanalo ng ilang medalya nina Jonalyn at Brenan samantalang naka-qualify lang sila sa Finals Group Category (Senior)?
Sa Finals Vocals Solo (Senior), natalo sila sa third round ng Vocals Solo ni Jeremie Antiporda. Sorry talaga. Nabulgar tuloy. Sino naman kaya si Jeremie A?

Magsisimula ang Bakekang pagkatapos ng I LUV NY. At sa first week na ng September magtatapos ito.

Cast of Bakekang:

Sunshine at Sheryl Cruz, Jay Manalo, Yasmien Kurdi, Nadine Samonte, Lovi Poe, Cogie Domingo, Manilyn Reynes, Julia Clarete, Marky Cielo, Dion Ignacio, Tyron Perez, Iwa Moto, Gladys Reyes at Raymart santiago. The cast do not include Zoren Legaspi and Wendell Ramos.

Sunshine Dizon will play bakekang and Yasmien Kurdi and Lovi Poe will play twins. But Lovi Poe gets the original character, Kristal. Nadine Samonte will be Sheryl Cruz's daughter. Jay Manalo will be Bakekang's object of affection. While Cogie will be Lovi's love interest.

Tatlong beses na tinanghal na Overall Champion Female Vocal Solo si Jonalyn nang magwagi siya sa WCOPA (World Champion Perfomance Art) sa mga kategoryang Broadway, Pop at Original.

limang gold medal sa kategoryang Broadway, Original, Pop, R&B/Jazz at Variety ang nakamit ni Jonalyn at siya ring tinanghal bilang Industry Award Female Vocal Solo.

Naging panlaban ng Philippine team sa Male Vocal Senior Division ang Pinoy Pop Superstar (Year 1) runner-up na si Brenan. Kahit baguhan sa music industry, limang gold medal ang naiuwi ng binata matapos magwagi sa mga kategoryang Gospel, Original, Pop, R&B/Jazz at Variety.

Nanalo rin siya ng apat na plaque nang tanghaling Overall Champion Male Vocal Solo sa kategoryang Gospel, Original, Pop at Variety. Tinanghal din siya bilang Industry Award Male Vocal Solo.

Latest on Robin's soap for GMA is that he will be teaming up with Angel Locsin. Last I heard, it will be tittled, Asian Tressures. The two will shoot on different countries of Asia, but on its first episode, it will be shot in Palawan. writers last week already visited the place to familiarize for the story. It will probably not be a fantasy soap but it will be an action soap. Which I think really fits for the two stars of the serie. No dates have been given for its playdate or shooting yet. But this will be Angel's soap after Majika.

Another one to be proud of..Only 2 weeks ago, July 30 to be exact, that Philippines again dominated on a contest..this time on dancing..About last week, 2006 World Hip-Hop Dance Championship was held..33 countries competed for this competition..And they all put together a two minute routine, and trained for months for them to have this perfect..And this year, Philippine team came first while Dziah from New Zealand came 2nd..and Tobag/Trinidad came third..here is a video of the Philippine team..a little bit shaky but its really really cool routine Philippines put together..

Tama ‘yung nasusulat na si Lovi Poe ang gaganap na Crystal, anak ni Bakekang, sa bagong drama series ng GMA 7 na Bakekang.
Ang dinig namin, kakaibang launching ang gagawin ng Siyete kay Lovi.
Very tempting daw ang offer ng GMA 7 management kay Lovi, kaya kahit noong una ay nangako ang anak ni Fernando Poe, Jr. (SLN) sa inang si Rowena Moran na hindi muna siya mag-aartista at singing lang ang aatupagin niya sa showbiz ay nabali ang kanyang pangako.
Kami mismo ay witness sa importansiyang ibinibigay ngayon ng Siyete kay Lovi.

Love 2 Love..Hindi Daw Mamamaalam

TULUY-TULOY pa rin ang Love to Love. Napakalaki pa rin ng galit sa GMA-7 ng nag-kakalat na mawawala na raw ang Love to Love at hanggang this season na lang daw ito just because it has not been doing good against the competition lately. May kamag-anak yata ito sa MERALCO dahil sa-nay naman itong manguryente. So, when this 11th season ends as scheduled at pumasok ang 12th season by next month, dedma na lang ulit ito as if nothing happens. Another GMA -7 show na naman siguro ang pagtutuunan nito ng pansin. Best Friends starring Ciara Sotto and Paolo Ballesteros and Fat is Fabulous starring Paolo Contis and Isabel Oli will continue its course after SOP Gigsters. Kung magiging mas maikli ito compared to the other seasons, so be it, but then there are very successful seasons in the past na hindi rin naman na-extend kahit napakataas ng ra-tings (remember 9th season na 12 episodes lang ang itinakbo?). We just find it ironic na pinagkakakitaan ang Love to Love in several ways, good and bad. Kasi habang ikinakalat na magsasara na raw ang Love to Love, tuloy pa rin ang pagpi-PR (read: nababayaran sila) nila sa artista na kasali sa said season -- double pay, di ba?

Pagkatapos ng Bakekang ay muli ring ibabalik ang Flordeluna at Annalisa sa television. Balitang ire-revive ng ABS-CBN ang Flordeluna na pinagbidahan dati ni Janice de Belen. Nagpa-audition ang Dos kung sino ang gaganap sa role na ni Janice. Ang Annalisa nama’y GMA-7 ang magre-revive na pinagbidahan ng namayapang si Julie Vega. Ngayon pa lang ay marami na ang nag-aabang kung sino ang gaganap na Flordeluna at Annalisa. Plus sino ang hahataw sa rating ng dalawang drama series na kinagiliwang panoorin noon sa telebisyon.

SHELVED ang project ng Regal Entertainment na I Love Paris with Angel Locsin and Dennis Trillo as loveteam.

Wala nang panahong gawin ito nina Angel at Dennis dahil magsisimula na sila ngayong August ng Mano Po 5, ang isa sa tatlong 2006 Metro Manila Film Festival-Philippines entries ni Mother Lily Monteverde.

Ang iba pang entries ng Regal ay Zsa Zsa Zaturnah at Super Noypi.

Nakausap namin si Roselle Monteverde-Teo na nagsabing next year nila itutuloy ang I Love Paris. Naging priority kasi nilang gawin ang horror-suspense titled Text for Angel and Den-nis kung saan kasama pa ang real-life boyfriend ni Angel na si Oyo Boy Sotto. Ang Text ay co-produce ng Regal at APT Films.

Wika ni Roselle: Gahol na kami sa oras, dapat masimulan agad ang Ma-no Po 3. May deadline ka-si sa filmfest. Naging dahilan ng pagkaantala ng Mano Po 5 ang paghihintay ng availability nina Dennis at Angel. Almost everyday ang taping nila sa daily soap na Majika. Bukod pa nga sa shooting nila for Text.”

Punung-puno ng drama ang Startalk bukas dahil makapagsasalita na ang ‘Pasaway Girls’ na sina Jackie Rice at Iwa Moto tungkol sa pagkakasuspendi sa kanila ng GMA 7.

Sila rin ang tampok sa Showbiz Stripped kinagabihan. Napanood ko na ang interview ni Kuya Ricky Lo sa dalawa. Bumaha ng luha habang kinakapanayam sila. Humingi ng paumahin ang mga hitad at aminado silang may mga nagawa silang kagagahan na hindi na dapat maulit.

Nakausap ko ang ina ni Jackie na si Vicky Sobreo-Rice at nasaktan daw siya sa mga naglabasang balita tungkol sa kanyang anak.

"Nagugulat na lang ako sa mga nababasa ko, dahil hindi totoo ‘yung mga naglabasan tungkol kay Jackie!" matalas na pahayag ng mommy ni Jackie.

Gaano katotoo na tatapusin na lang ang kasalukuyang umeereng Season 11 ng Love to Love sa GMA -7 at mamamaalam na ito sa ere? Ito ang tsika sa amin ng taga-L2L kamakailan na ‘til September na lang ito at papalitan na ito ng ibang programa. "Four weeks kasing nanalo sa ratings game ang Love Spell sa Love to Love kaya nginarag kami ng management, e, siguro time na rin para i-reformat ang Love to Love kasi more than two years na rin naman itong umeere, nakakasawa na rin," kuwento sa amin. Kaya isa ang staff na nagkukwento sa amin na naghahanap siya ng bagong raket dahil nga hanggang Setyembre na lang sila at hindi pa sure kung kukunin sila uli para sa kapalit na show ng L2L dahil nga nagko-cost cutting ang production department ng GMA-7. At kung hindi rin kasi kami nagkakamali ay maraming shows na hawak ang mga staff ng nasa L2L dahil ka-join din sila sa Now and Forever, Posh, Sis, Family Zoo at Project 11.

Noong Linggo ay may ‘exclusive’ VTR interview ang S-Files kay Snooky Serna kaugnay sa isyung nagtangka itong magpakamatay.
Bilang handler/publicist ni Snooky, sa amin nakipag-usap ang segment producer ng S-Files tungkol sa interbyung ‘yon.
Pina-approve namin kay Snooky ang ‘exclusive’ VTR interview sa kanya ng S-Files at pumayag ang aktres, kaya nagulat kami nang malaman naming may VTR interview din pala sa aktres ang The Buzz.
Natural na mag-react ang mga taga-S-Files dahil hindi pala nila ‘exclusive’ si Snooky.
Sinita namin si Snooky. Sabi sa amin ng aktres, nakalimutan niya na na-interview siya ng staff ng The Buzz noong maospital siya sa Makati Medical Center.
Ang dapat daw kasi ay noong isang Linggo pa lumabas ang interbyung ‘yon at nang hindi ipalabas ng The Buzz ay nakalimutan na niya.
Pinagsabihan namin si Snooky kung bakit hindi niya ipinagpaalam sa amin ang VTR interview na ‘yon. Nakahihiya sa mga taga-S-Files dahil ‘exclusive’ ang usapan sa VTR interview niya.
Nag-sorry sa amin si Snooky, pero ipinagdiinan niya na sinabihan niya ang mga taga-The Buzz na na sabihan din kami, pero hindi naman kami sinabihan.
Noong Sabado ay tinawagan kami ni Nancy (executive producer ng The Buzz) para ipagpaalam kung pwede nilang i-guest nang live si Snooky, pero tumanggi kami at ipinaliwanag sa kanya na sorry dahil may exclusive deal kami sa S-Files at naunang komontak sa amin ang e.p. ng naturang show.
Sa usapang ‘yon ay hindi binanggit sa amin ni Nancy na may VTR interview rin sila kay Snooky, kaya nang sinisita na kami ng taga-S-Files ay sinabi namin na wala kaming alam sa bagay na ‘yon.
Gusto naming klaruhin dito na hindi namin "brilliant excuse" ang paliwanag na ‘yon sa taga-S-Files.
Kahapon ay tinawagan namin si Nancy, pati na rin si Ms. Guia (program manager for talk ng ABS-CBN 2) para ipaalam sa kanila na ilalabas namin ang pangyayari kaugnay ng ‘exclusive’ VTR interview ni Snooky.
Hindi kasi tamang kami ang masisi sa bagay na ‘yon dahil kami pa ang na-bypass ng staff ng The Buzz.

HOW a modest Colombian telenovela about a pitifully ugly woman trying to navigate the shallow waters of the fashion industry became one of the world’s most popular television shows is a Cinderella story of its own, one more unlikely than even the most optimistic screenwriter could imagine.

That show, “Yo Soy Betty La Fea” (“I Am Betty the Ugly”), could have been another one of the telenovelas — the nightly soap operas featuring a breathless blend of camp, melodrama and cliffhanger — that dominate primetime programming in Colombia. But its creator, Fernando Gaitán, had greater ambitions. So Mr. Gaitán created Beatriz Pinzón Solano, a woman with brains (Betty holds a master’s degree in economics), a heart (she is caretaker to her aging father) and a face so unfortunately contoured that it comes as a relief to find her forehead hidden under a fringe of oily black bangs.

With Colombia in the midst of a huge political bribery scandal, Betty briefly considered accepting money from a fabric company desperate to get into business with her boss.

It wasn’t long until Mr. Silverman of Hollywood took notice. After an unsuccessful attempt to make the show as a half-hour comedy at NBC, Mr. Silverman brought the actress Salma Hayek — who began her career as a star of Mexican telenovelas — on as a producer. They tried to find the most effective way to turn a half-hour nightly soap opera into an hour-long serial comedy-drama, and eventually they found a home for it at ABC.

“We toned down a bit of the drama,” Ms. Hayek said on the telephone. “What we didn’t want to lose was the feeling that at the end of every episode, you can’t wait to see what happens next.”
After working with two other writers, the pair discovered Silvio Horta, a young, first-generation Cuban-American writer. He was best known for two well-received science fiction shows (“Jake 2.0” and “The Chronicle”) but was itching to get into more character-based television. And it helped that he had telenovelas in his blood.

“We had one television growing up, and my mom would be watching the telenovelas every night. We had no choice. All my friends, first-generation immigrants, would make fun of them, and then become completely addicted,” said Mr. Horta, echoing the frustration of an entire generation of Latin men.

For his version Mr. Horta has held close to show’s template, with some local adaptations. Betty is a bit less ugly; Americans are apparently not ready for a unibrow in prime time. She’s also younger (played by America Ferera), works not as an assistant at a fashion house but at a fashion magazine in a Condé Nast-esque publishing empire and commutes each day to Manhattan from Queens. She’s also first-generation Mexican — Mr. Silverman and Ms. Hayek fought to keep her Latina — and, like the original Betty, has a singularly horrific fashion sense.

How will Betty play in America? Remakes of foreign shows are tricky: for every “All in the Family” (“Till Death Do Us Part” in Britain) and “The Office,” there is a “Coupling” or “The Kumars at No. 42,” a worldwide phenomenon whose American version was canceled before it was ever broadcast. “Ugly Betty” certainly faces an uphill battle — a difficult Friday-night time slot and a character who looks like she’s never heard of Bikram Yoga or macrobiotic salad dressing — yet it would be foolish to count it out. Betty has vanquished Colombian corruption and given Germany and Russia something they can agree on. Surely she won’t back down from NBC’s Friday night competition: the impossibly attractive crimefighters of “Crossing Jordan.”

HINDI naman siguro magagalit ang GMA-7 at si Direk Mark Reyes kung isusulat namin ang ilan sa cast ng Atlantika at info about the show dahil nasa Internet na ito. Ini-report na rin ito sa ilang show ng GMA-7 pati sa 24 Oras.

Makakasama nina Iza Calzado at Dingdong Dantes sina Rudy Fernandez, Jean Garcia, Ariel Rivera, Katrina Halili, Bianca King, Mark Gil, Pen Medina, Valerie Concepcion, Paolo Contis, Isabel Oli, Chynna Ortaleza, Gardo Versoza, Gene Padilla, Artgur Solinap, Jojo Alejar, Elvis Gutierrez at Cherry Pie Picache.

Tiyak na madaragdagan pa sila habang tumatakbo ang serye.

Dapat last Saturday ang first taping day, pero ’di natuloy at na-reset last Monday. Baka ’di rin natuloy dahil sa bagyo.

Sabi ni Direk Mark, original concept ito ni Jun Lana at hindi based sa Aqua Man at Man from Atlantis. Ibinalita ring nag-swimmng lessons ang cast members na ’di marunong lumangoy at si Dingdong ay nag-scuba diving lesson.

May martial arts at knife-fighting lessons din ang male cast, na ang nagtuturo ay instructor ng ilang Hollywood actors. Foreigner ito at didiskubrihin natin ang kanyang pangalan.

Our very own Miss Lia Andrea Ramos didnt get the crown for Ms. Universe but she did get the tittle for Ms. Photogenic. I think this is the second time in a row Philippines got the tittle. I was very dis-appointed, because I was really rooting for this one.But atleast she got Ms. Photogenic. Although, another Asian country made it to top 5, and its no other than Ms. Japan herself, Kurara Chibana, but unfortunately she only got to 1st runner up. 2nd is Ms. Switzerland, Lauriane Gillieron, 3rd, Lourdes Arevalos of Paraguay and last but not the least Miss USA, Tara Conner. And the contestant who got the tittle is non-other than, (drum role).....Zuleyka Rivera of Puerto Rico..

i only got this info from some websites...after finding out Philippines didnt make it to top 20, i changed the channel right away..it was a bummer..oh well..which ones next?? Ms. World?? Ms. International??
